Text Box: This winter hardy hybrid produces a wine with a pronounced varietal character likened to it’s parent, 'Gewürztraminer‘. Uncork the bottle and first enjoy the aroma of roses from a warm evening in Old Virginia; then taste and savor the spicy and mildly sweet nectar.

2007  Traminette

Early release—2007.  A dark, dry, medium bodied wine that leaps forward with ripe fruit flavors to land lightly on the palate.  It’s silky texture lingers with notes of black pepper and ends with a light tannin finish that tempts for more.

Text Box: Montmorency cherries…the quintessential pie cherry...makes this wine a unique experience. 100% sour cherries with 3% residual sugar create a wine that is only slightly sweet. Flavorful by itself, with desserts, and especially with dark chocolate.

Apple

At least five different varieties of apples grown at Hiddencroft were used to produce this crisp, sweet wine.   Excellent with fresh pork, smoked meats, cheddar cheese, and fruit desserts.
