FAQ’s

What forms of payment do you accept?  Cash, Credit Cards (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa) and in-State Checks.

Is parking available?  Yes, in our private lot next to our barn.

Are children allowed?  Children are welcome.  We request they remain under the control of a parent or guardian during their entire visit.  Purely from a safety standpoint, we request children not roam our indoor and outdoor premises without the supervision of a parent or guardian.  We do not provide specific child-tailored activities.  You must be at least 21 years of age to stand at our tasting counters.

Are dogs allowed?  Well-behaved dogs are welcome outdoors, on a leash and under the control of an owner during their entire visit.  Per Virginia Department of Health and Consumer Services regulations, we cannot allow animals in any building on our property where we manufacture and/or serve beverages and food.  Please clean up after your dog.

Is food available?  We have an assortment of lite fare available for purchase in our tasting room to enjoy before or after wine tastings:  cheese, salami, crackers, unique chocolate bars, spreads and other snack items.

Is there a restaurant on-site?  We do not have a restaurant, but we do sell self-service lite-fare as described above.  We can also recommend many great restaurants that are close by or on the way to your next destination.

Is Hiddencroft available for weddings?: We do not host weddings at Hiddencroft at this time.

Are group reservations required?:  We can accommodate groups of 9 to no more than 20 people.  We schedule group tastings to occur on Monday-Friday, beginning at 11AM and scheduling our last tasting of the day to begin no later than 4PM.  Group tastings on weekends are available to case club members and their guests only.  Reservations are required for all group wine tastings.  Please phone or e-mail at least three days in advance to make a reservation.  Our Group Wine Tasting fee is $15/person (includes souvenir glass and tax).

Are limousines and buses allowed?  All limousines and buses must have an advance reservation, and adhere to the group reservation requirements described above.  Limousines and buses who arrive without a reservation will be turned away.

Is Hiddencroft available for corporate events?:  Yes.  Call or e-mail for details.

Do you sell fruit wines?: Yes. We regularly produce and sell Cherry, Blueberry, Raspberry Blend, and Blackberry wines. Supplies change, so call or e-mail in advance for availability.

Can I purchase your wine on-line and have it shipped to me?  At this time, we ship wine only within the state of Virginia.  You can visit our Wine tab to learn the price of wines that interest you, and send a message to winery@hiddencroftvineyards.com outlining what you would like to purchase.  We will send you a quote on total cost, to include taxes, shipping, and any discounts that apply.  If you are satisfied, we will complete your transaction by credit card and ship your order.  A person, over the age of 21, must be on hand to sign for the wine on the day it is delivered.

Can we bring our own food?:  Customers of our tasting room can bring their own picnic lunches.  Per VA Alcoholic Beverage Control regulations, we are not allowed to have alcoholic beverages other than those which we are licensed to produce on our premises.  Therefore, no outside alcohol is allowed as part of your picnic.  Accordingly, we reserve the right to check coolers, bags and baskets.

Is the tasting room open year-round?:  Yes.

Is there a place to sit and enjoy a glass or bottle of your wine?:  We have a large deck which seats 30, a large patio with a fire-pit which seats an additional 40 people, picnic tables, and seating for approximately 25 people on the second floor of our tasting house.

Do you have live music?:  We schedule live music performances to occur in Spring and Fall.  The performances are held on the patio behind our tasting house or in the large, open-air barn on our property.  Visit our Events tab to see all of our currently scheduled activities.
