At Hiddencroft Vineyards in Loudoun County, our 2020 Petit Manseng reflects the region’s warm days and cool autumn nights, producing a wine of remarkable intensity, vibrant fruit, and natural acidity.

Tasting Notes

Appearance
Brilliant golden straw with luminous highlights.

Aroma
Expressive and inviting, with aromas of ripe pineapple, apricot, and honeyed citrus. Notes of orange blossom, baked pear, and a touch of candied ginger emerge with time in the glass.

Palate
Full-bodied and richly textured. Flavors of tropical fruit, preserved lemon, and golden apple are balanced by bright acidity. Subtle hints of honey and spice add complexity.

Finish
Long, clean, and refreshing, with lingering citrus and mineral notes.

Winemaker’s Notes

Petit Manseng is harvested later than most varieties. This allows the fruit to develop its signature concentration while retaining its natural acidity. This balance creates a wine of both richness and structure.

Our goal is to preserve the freshness of the fruit while allowing its deeper character to emerge naturally.
