Wine Tastings

At Hiddencroft, we believe that no two visits are exactly alike.

Some guests come to learn about Virginia wine and our winemaking philosophy. Others simply want to relax on the deck with friends, enjoy a glass of wine, and take in the view. Whether you’re planning an afternoon tasting or stopping by to enjoy a favorite bottle, we’re delighted to welcome you.

Reservations are always appreciated and help us prepare for your visit. Walk-in guests are welcome whenever seating is available.

Self-Guided Wine Flights

Our Self-Guided Wine Flight is our most relaxed and flexible experience.

We’ll prepare a flight of six our current wines, allowing you to taste at your own pace while enjoying the vineyard, conversation with friends, or simply a quiet afternoon. Printed tasting notes provide information about each wine, and we’re always happy to answer questions as we circulate through the winery.

After your tasting, you’re welcome to continue your visit with wine by the glass or bottle.

Reservations are recommended, particularly on weekends and during special events, but if seating is available, you’re always welcome to stop by.

Winemaker Hosted Wine Tasting

Reservations Required • For 1–12 Guests

Our Winemaker Hosted Wine Tasting is designed for guests who would enjoy a more personal and interactive experience.

Our Winemaker will guide your group through each wine, sharing the stories behind Hiddencroft, our vineyard, our grape varieties, and our philosophy of extended barrel aging. Questions and conversation about the wines are encouraged throughout the tasting.

Because this experience reserves our Winemaker exclusively for your group, advance reservations are required.

If your group’s primary goal is to relax, visit with friends, and enjoy the wines at your own pace, we recommend our Self-Guided Seated Wine Flights instead.

Not every visit needs to include a tasting. If you already know what you enjoy—or simply want to unwind with a glass of wine while overlooking the vineyard—we’d love to have you.

Choose a glass, share a bottle with friends, and make yourself comfortable on the deck, patio, or in our tasting room.
