Every family has a recipe passed down in whispers, stirred with memory, and sweetened by time. Ours is bottled in Grandma’s Love Potion, a nod to old-world traditions and wild-hearted women.

Inspired by the Finnish “Lappish Hag’s Love Potion”—a rustic blueberry wine fermented by sunlight and folklore—we reimagined the method with care and elegance (and swapped out “hag” for something a bit more charming).

This is blueberry wine the way Grandma would make it: rich in fruit and meant to be shared around a warm table.

Tasting Notes

  • Deep ruby-violet color
  • Aromas of blueberry preserves, cinnamon, and clove
  • Flavors of wild berry compote, mulled wine spice, and a kiss of tart cherry
  • A smooth finish with just enough sweetness

At 2.5% residual sugar, this wine is sweet but balanced—never syrupy or cloying. Its vibrant acidity gives it structure and makes it just as welcome at a campfire as it is at a holiday table.

  • Aging: 9–12 months in stainless steel tanks

A Love Potion Rooted in Legend

The Finnish origin story is simple and mystical: whole wild blueberries, water, sugar, and sunlight—left to ferment naturally in the jug, creating a potion said to enchant the heart. In Finland, they call it Lappish Hag’s Love Potion—a tribute to northern magic and old wives’ wisdom.
